iSteve (2013) Review by tojoehenry from United States
A great true story , narrated by the main character, a very funnyhistory lesson,
At one point , I flashed back to when my little brother got one of thefirst computers ...when there were about three people "online", it wasjust another techie at the library or local college, and they were justtying up everyone's phone lines.
for me , it was well written and took right off, I didn't expect it tobe as funny as it was , being a biography, but it was funnier thaneducational, and even when the jokes weren't flowing , the movie stillflowed very nicely,
I recommend iSteve, my opinion is that most people will enjoy it andget a chuckle
I gave it a six out of ten, and I think i will eventually re-watch itso it gets a re-watcher stamp
iSteve (2013) Review by nysalesman from New York
This was a very enjoyable, and even touching flick. As a mockumentaryit doesn't come anywhere near true history. Even so, it hits on allcylinders with regard to condensing the life of Steve Jobs into 80minutes. Justin Long does an excellent job of portraying Jobs and ishilarious when (as Jobs) he directs and demeans his real self whenmaking the Apple TV commercials.
My only complaint is that they could have kept to the facts withoutchanging the edginess of the movie. For instance, they gave Jobs creditfor designing the Apple I and Apple II and make it look like Wozniakwas just helping. In reality, it was Wozniak that designed thosesystems and Steve was the big picture guy. They also gave Jobs creditfor design of the Mac, which was really the brain-child of Jef Raskin. What they didn't mention is that the project with which Jobs was mostinvolved (the Lisa) was a phenomenal failure. They also portrayed JohnSculley as a spy from Commodore, who later admits that he never workedfor Pepsico. In reality, John did work for Pepsico and never workedfor, or with, Commodore. They also made Commodore out to look like anold out of touch company and showed none of the innovation that camefrom CBM. For instance, after the release of the Apple II, theCommodore CEO unveils an old PET system. In reality, at the time of theApple II, Commodore was already the most successful personal computerworld-wide with lines like the Vic-20 and Commodore-64. Furthermore, they didn't even make reference to the Commodore Amiga, which was (andby many accounts still is) the most advanced personal computer everdeveloped. In fact, back in 1985, the Amiga was the only multitaskingpersonal computer (true multitasking - like mainframes) and couldemulate both the Mac OS, MS-DOS (and later Windows) at faster speedsthan their native systems. God rest your soul Jay Minor you were a truegenius, albeit an unsung one, and they should be making movies aboutyou.
Byte Magazine: The Amiga was so far ahead of its time that almostnobodyincluding Commodore's marketing departmentcould fullyarticulate what it was all about. Today, it's obvious the Amiga was thefirst multimedia computer, but in those days it was derided as a gamemachine because few people grasped the importance of advanced graphics, sound, and video. Nine years later, vendors are still struggling tomake systems that work like 1985 Amigas.
PC Magazine. The AmigaOS remained one of the "greatest" operatingsystems of the past 20 years, as it incorporated a small kernel with"tremendous" multitasking capabilities.

Nice internet movie. Great satyr aimed at Steve Jobs life and Applehistory. Yes its inaccurate but TAKE the fact that this is a comedy andif you are interested in computer history you will have nice laugh.Justin Long and Jorge Garcia delivers great and funny acting, And itsnice comedy driven tribute to a Steve Jobs and history of Applecomputers. This comes from a proud mac user and admirer of Steve Jobsand Steve Wozniak. And at the END you will find out that this is not tomake fun of Steve Jobs, but to make him a tribute that is worth laughand im sure if Steve himself can see it, he would smile at it too. Soat the end Funny Or Die and whole team around this movie made prettydecent job.
